Promethazine Syrup IP (Phenergan) is an antihistaminic oral formulation used for the relief of allergic conditions, motion sickness, nausea and vomiting, and as a sedative. It works by blocking histamine H₁ receptors, thereby reducing allergy symptoms such as sneezing, runny nose, watery eyes, and itching. Due to its central nervous system action, it also provides calming and antiemetic effects.
